Children's Ministry
We have three main elements of children's ministry:
Youth
Our youth ministry is headed up by Greg Cowley who is captain of our Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association Company.
Links with our Community
At St Mark's we believe that we are called to be Christ's hands and feet on earth which means we need to be actively involved in our community, showing God's love and revealing Jesus to all we meet.
Members of the congregation are governors at the local school, members of the parish council and are involved with local community groups and charities.
OUR MINISTRIES
At St Mark's we are committed to the Diocesan vision of growing disciples wider, younger and deeper.
Prayer
Members of our congregation pray daily for the church and our wider community.
We also meet on a Wednesday afternoon in church at 2.30pm to pray together.
Prayer ministry is offered after our main Sunday service - just speak to the service leader!
Ministry to the Elderly
Jane Dineen, our recognised lay minister, heads up our ministry to the elderly. Please contact her if you would like further information.
Pastoral Care
Jane Dineen leads our pastoral care team and visits the local nursing homes. If you would like a visit, or communion in your home, please contact Jane or Rev Chrissie Little.
Music
Music is an important part of worship at St Mark's. We have a mixture of traditional and contemporary music at our services with our youngest musician being 11 years old and our oldest in her eighties!
